★ Karishma Kotak: From Bigg Boss, to IPL to MENTAL ?

The hot British-Indian starlet, and former Kingfisher Calendar girl, Karishma Kotak, was one of the star contestants of the popular reality show, ‘Bigg Boss 6’. As per our earlier conversation with her she was busy shooting for her film, the comic caper, JO BHI KARVA LO, starring Arshad Warsi and Soha Ali Khan .

When we got in touch with Karishma again she informed us, ”Yes, I have finished the first schedule of JO BHI KARVA LO, and the remaining portions will be shot in May. Without waiting for us to ask the reason she clarified, ”I am taking this break because I will be a part of the upcoming IPL (Indian Premier League), and so I will have to travel all over India.”

When we asked her if being from Britain, wasn’t it football rather than cricket which should have been her favourite game? And she said, ”The Indian side of me loves cricket while the British half also watches football. But personally I enjoy cricket more. My favourites are Imran Khan and Sachin Tendulker.”

We reminded Karishma about the news of her being chosen for Salman Khan’s MENTAL, and that she had said ”No comments”, when we had queried her. So what was the current scenario? But she remained non-committal again and said, ”It’s still ’ no comments’ , as right now I am all excited about IPL, so maybe we can talk about MENTAL after that.”
First ‘Bigg Boss’, now IPL, and what next, MENTAL, opposite box-office king, Salman Khan? Well things can only look up for this gorgeous actress who has certainly everything that it takes to make it to the top.

★ Salman Khan becomes the bogeyman at the box office

Ignore their false sense of bravado, most superstars spend months, days and hours tracking Salman Khan’s release-day strategy rather than worrying about their own release dates.
Everyone knows that for the last four years (2009-2012), Ramzan-Eid holidays have been super-beneficial to Salman at the box office. If he is coming around thattime, other stars prefer to steer clear.
This Eid, Salman is supposed to come with Sohail Khan’s Mental. The film will kick off in Dubai later this month and should hopefully be ready for an August 8 release.
However, Sallu has left several stars guessing whether he will or will not come on the coveted Eid date.
One knows that Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Returns is confirmed for Eid, 2013. One also hears that Chennai Express is hoping that if Salman misses that date, they can take it. However, maximum confusion is happeningaround the releases that are to follow.
For example, Ajay Devgn has reportedly asked Prakash Jha to shift Satyagraha from its original August-15 slot to a week later. But even as Ajay finished giving this instruction, Jha learnt that Rajkumar Santoshi wants to bringPhata Poster Nikla Hero — with Shahid Kapoor in the lead — on August 22.
So now, either Satyagraha or Santoshi will have to move again. Told ya, Salman has become the bogeyman at the box office. The current trade advice is, “Yaar, apni picture ki date move karo; uss date pe shayad Salman aa raha hai.”

★ Salman Khan joins Google, seeks fan to manage official club

In an attempt to expand his online presence, Bollywood’s box office king Salman Khan joined Google Hangout on Wednesday. He is already a part of social networking platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
The actor has also embarked on ahunt for a fan, who will be the co-manager for his first official fan club on Google , read a statement Wednesday. In a Google post, he invited fans to become managers of the official page and said “perhaps we can Hangout soon.”
The winner will be hand-picked on the same forum by him.
